Committees

Architectural Review Committee
The Architectural Review Committee (ARC) controls all exterior modifications to homes and grants variances on a case-by-case basis. It may promulgate standards and establish procedures by which homeowners can have their proposals considered. This committee is responsible for review and policy of all common areas but not limited to: common area landscaping, lighting, recreation facilities, home lawn care, mailboxes, exterior, decks, stoops, fences, decorative entrance structures, gazebos, stone or concrete paved walks, and other miscellaneous site structures and changes, etc. The ARC committee meets once a month and schedules monthly hearings as requested.

Communications Committee
The sole responsibility of this committee is to enhance communication with and among residents and members of the Association. They are also responsible for all aspects of the association's website. Other duties include but not limited to: meetings, meeting minutes, newsletter, events etc. Responsible for publishing happenings, operating and maintaining the HOA website, networking and reporting associated with the website and publishing the Neighborhood Directory.

Enforcement/Security Committee
The Enforcement/Security committee is an advisory and informational committee for the residents of the Wellesley, which includes the Neighborhood Watch Program. The committee is a liaison with the board, property manager and local Authority officials to assist with keeping residents informed on security and safety. The security/enforcement committee in conjunction with the board has oversight and monitors the Neighborhood Watch Program, and Patrol and Security contractors for the Amenity area.   Currently Block Captains are needed to act as liason between the Enforcement/Security Committee Chairperson and homeowners. Finance Committee
The financial management of every community association is ultimately the responsibility of its Board of Directors however, finance committee members assist. The finance committee meets on a monthly basis and works with the Treasurer to devise an annual budget for Wellesley. This involves identifying the needs of the HOA for the upcoming year, affixing a cost to the need, and ensuring that sufficient funds will be collected to satisfy the need. The budget is the major planning tool for the HOA.

Grounds and Landscape Committee
The grounds & landscape committee ensures that all of the common area of the Wellesley is properly maintained and attractive. The committee advises the Board of Directors on hiring a landscape contractor and oversees the work of that contractor. Committee members typically review bids, evaluate proposals for new landscaping and report and recommend actions to the board, monitor particular areas of the community, and report any findings to the Board. The Ground and Landscape committee meets on a regular basis, generally during the spring, summer and fall. In addition, other functions compatible with this charter may be assigned from time to time.

Social Committee
The social committee organizes events and activities for residents designed to enhance and promote a sense of community. Past activities have included an Easter egg hunt, Holiday social and end of year Pool Party (see the Photo Album for pictures). Plans for 2008 include an Easter Egg Hunt (March 22, 2008), May Carnival to celebrate the pool opening and September Adult "Night Under the Stars."
